Ac cording to the study, the rate of alcohol consumption kept on increasing year after year.Binge drinking among students in college and universities is a matter of national concern because its effects be detrimental to the development of a country. The government should try to minimize the problem because it not only affects an individual, but also the welfare of the society as a whole. Although, all age groups consume alcohol, studies have shown that youths aged between 18 and 24 years show the highest rate and are, therefore, at a high try of facing problems associated with heavy drinking.
